What this is
Starting therapy is hard. Finding the right therapist is harder. A consultation is the lowest-stakes way to find out if we're a fit before you commit to anything.
There's no intake form to fill out, no history to walk me through, no "right" thing to say. You can come with one sentence about what's going on, or with a whole list, or just to ask questions about how I work.
If we're not the right fit, that's information. I'd rather you find a therapist who is.
How it works
Send a quick note through the contact form or email me directly. A sentence or two about what you're looking for is plenty.
I'll reply within two business days with a few times that work for you. The call itself is 20 minutes, virtual, on a video link I'll send you.
You tell me what's bringing you here. I tell you how I work. We figure out together whether this feels like the right room.
If it's a yes, we book the first full session. If it's a no, no follow-up, no awkward emails. You're free to keep looking.
What we might cover
Quick answers
Yes — 20 minutes, no charge, no obligation. I want both of us to be sure before you commit to a full session.
That's fine. Most people don't. I'll ask a few gentle questions and we'll figure out together what feels important.
Virtual — I'll send you a secure video link. Full sessions can be virtual across Ontario, or in-person near Etobicoke / GTA.
Yes, both — alongside English. You can move between languages mid-session if that's how the feeling wants to come out.
I'll say so directly, and where I can, I'll point you toward someone who might be a better match. There's no follow-up pressure.
I'm a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and provide receipts for insurance reimbursement. Many extended health plans cover RP — check with your provider.
