The meaning behind the name

ਰਹਾਉ

Rahao — to pause and reflect.

In Gurbani, Rahao marks the line meant to be returned to — the centerpiece of a verse, the place where reflection is invited. This practice carries the same intention: a space to slow down, return to yourself, and notice what's underneath.

Together, we can

Help you find your way back to yourself.

  • Quiet the self-doubt and overthinking that come from never feeling like you're quite enough.
  • Untangle the weight of expectations — yours, your family's, your community's — so they stop running the show.
  • Heal old relationship patterns rooted in attachment wounds, so you can build connections that actually feel safe.
  • Make sense of cultural and intergenerational trauma in a space where it's named, understood, and held.
  • Reconnect with your spiritual and cultural identity as a source of strength, not pressure.

What I offer

Therapy, tailored to where you are.

Every session is shaped around your history, your culture, and what you actually need — not a script.

Anhad Kaur, Registered Psychotherapist

Hi, I'm Anhad

A Registered Psychotherapist who understands the nuance you live with.

Something brought you here. Maybe it's the weight you've been carrying for too long — the kind that's hard to name, hard to explain to people who've never had to hold it. Maybe it's the patterns that keep showing up, the relationships that leave you questioning, or the version of yourself you've lost somewhere along the way.

I work with South Asian adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, cultural identity, attachment wounds, and the quiet pressure of intergenerational expectation. I draw from EFT, IFS, CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, and trauma-focused approaches — but mostly, I listen, and I bring my whole self into the room with you.

My approach

Integrative, evidence-based, and shaped to fit.

I draw from these evidence-based modalities to tailor therapy to each person's unique needs, goals, cultural background, and lived experiences. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, I integrate frameworks from attachment-based, trauma-informed, emotion-focused, cognitive-behavioural, mindfulness-based, parts-work, and spiritually integrated work to support meaningful and lasting change.

EFT

Emotionally Focused Therapy

Understand, process, and transform emotional experiences and attachment patterns to deepen connection and safety.

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic Therapy

Explore how past experiences and unconscious patterns shape current emotions, behaviours, and relationships.

CBT

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Identify unhelpful thinking patterns and build practical, sustainable coping skills.

DBT

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy

Combine acceptance and change for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and stronger interpersonal effectiveness.

IFS

Internal Family Systems

Build a compassionate relationship with all parts of yourself — including the ones you've been at war with.

DBR

Deep Brain Reorienting

Trauma-focused work that engages the nervous system at a deeper level than talk therapy alone.

EFCT

Emotionally Focused Couples

For partners ready to break the same fight and build a relationship that actually feels safe.

Spiritually Integrated

Spiritually Integrated Therapy

Honour your spiritual, religious, and cultural beliefs as sources of meaning — when they matter to you.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Present-moment awareness without judgment — so you respond instead of react to what's difficult.

ACT

Acceptance & Commitment

Build psychological flexibility and take action aligned with what actually matters to you.
